The Phantom/Erik.

The Phantom/Angel of Music/Erik or whatever you would like to call this guy, lives beneath Paris teaching girls how to sing (without meeting them face to face) and then stalking them for the rest of the movie, killing whomever gets in his way... But hey! He sings nice, right?

Loki Of Asgard

He wasn't always a villain... and to be honest many people still think he isn't one. As for me, I'm pretty neutral on the topic. I do think he was a bit misunderstood in some parts but nevertheless, he was the main bad guy in the Avengers movie and he did almost completely destroy New York with his Chitauri alien army just because he wanted to rule Earth. So... Yeah, he's a villain alright. 

..And for that reason, he gets a magical ticket to get on the list.

Okay, so I'm pretty sure the quote just underneath the picture alone can explain why I have Moriarty on my list so I'll just leave it at that. (Without spoilers either... Yay!) 

Smaug The Terrible

(If you don't know who that is and what book he is from... I'm so sorry.)

Smaug is probably the scariest dragon I have ever seen and/or have read about... Giant, scary, mean... How could I NOT have him on the list? (Plus, he is pretty darn awesome.)

...Or more specifically, Summer Spidell... I had to put down the book multiple times just because of her. She was basically the most horrible, unpleasant, popular bratty kid I have ever had the misfortune to read about... Thank heavens Winnie thought so too.

This guy is a meanie. He blew up his daughter's home planet right in front of her, and then later on he cut of his son's own hand with his lightsaber... Oh, and how could I forget about him freezing Han Solo in carbonite, also in front of his daughter and Han Solo's best buddy? 

Yah, he's a meanie alright.

Kronos

Big ol' Greek Titan of Time who ate practically all his children because he was concerned that they may get more powerful than him... I'm thinking he was also a bit peckish.

Megamind

Possibly the greatest underrated villain there is... Seriously, why isn't this movie appreciated enough?! He has a great backstory that makes you feel really sorry for him -while also making you laugh, because the way he retells it is just so darn funny...

To be honest, I could just fill up the the whole page with hilarious quotes from the movie and forget about villain number ten altogether but I'm afraid we must now move on...

Lord Morgarath

(Ranger's Apprentice)

 'Now, he thought, it was the time for his revenge. His spies told him the Kingdom had grown slack and complacent and his presence here was all but forgotten. The name Morgarath was a name of legend nowadays, a name mothers used to to hush fractious children, threatening that if they did not behave, the black lord Morgarath would come for them.' - Morgarath's evil musings to himself.

Tall, dark robes, white hair and very very pale creepy guy with an even creepier horse? Yeah, he definitely qualifies for this list (and his horse too *shudders*). He was a great villain in the sense that I didn't like him very much. 

It wasn't really a "Oh wow, this villain sucks" not-like-him but more of a "Oh wow, this guy is really creepy" ...Meaning that if I was a character in the book, I probably would have just quit and headed over to Nope-Ville.  

(Probably didn't help that I was much younger when I actually started reading the series... If I was magically teleported to Aruluen today, I would probably just be all "Oh sweet, I totally got this!"-providing I had my friends with me of course.. If not, I would probably be waaaay more confused.)

Well, well, well... we have at last reached the end of this villainous list at last! Once again, I do apologise for it taking so darn long. The villains themselves were being quite difficult and wouldn't give me any ideas why I had actually chosen them... Nasty villainses they are..

I seem to be the master of procrastination as of late... Waiting until the evening on last day of March to actually write this post and all that. (I spent lunch time and upwards making the picture so I was technically working on it... Sorta.)

To be honest, I don't think I really have a favourite...

~ What's the weirdest book you've ever read?

Er... For some reason 100 Cupboards keeps coming to mind... I guess having 100 magical cupboards that teleport you to different realms in one's bedroom is kind of weird.


~ What's a job you dreamed of having as a kid?

Hmm... How early are we talking? The earliest I can remember actually going: 'Oh wow, I wanna be one of those.' was when I was around the age 6 to... I dunno, 8 maybe...? I was watching a Barney movie (Shush) where they were writing stories for... something or other. And they just started talking about what writers did and how they were called 'authors' and so forth.

I thought it was such an awesome sounding job that a few days later I declared to my family that I wanted to be an "Arthur" too and started writing my own little stories... None of which I will post on here because...  Ergh. *shudders*

I sure like to think so.

Probably good enough to be able to survive off the pantry by myself for a few days... providing I'm not stranded in the bush or on a deserted island. (Floating ones don't count... I'm sure there would be lots of magical fruit that wouldn't need cooking.)


~ In a group of people are you more likely to be silent, talking or cracking jokes?

I really don't know...? I think I'm a mixture of all of them... Depending on who I'm with of course.


~ If any fictional character could be your best friend, who would it be?

Ooooooh.... Tricky. So, so, so, so, many to choose from!

I think I'll go with Jenny from Ranger's Apprentice. She's pretty cool.


~What's an interesting/random quirk you have?

Well, whenever I'm on the computer I somehow always find myself chewing on my headphones cable... Or chewing on my lip if said cable is not in reach.


~ Generally speaking do you use a bookmark or random piece of paper?

Pretty much whatever is around me be it a (unused!) tissue, a scrap of paper, a closed pen, an actual bookmark, another smaller book, a slice of pizza... wait.



~ Do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks? Why?

Paperback! Always and forever paperback... Must be the smell of the paper or something, plus its nice to flick through. For some reason, I've always found the sound of paper against paper oddly satisfying as I turn the page.

For the first time in forever.... A BLOG POST!

So I've been working on this thing-a-ma-bob for a while now, couple of weeks.. Maybe a month? Gosh,  I dunno any more.

Anyway, after finding a really cool head (drawing) tutorial on Pinterest, I decided to give it a go for myself...

Everything was going really well and I started to  try and decide which story character of mine to use as a reference for hair and facial expressions...

See? So far so good...

And then, with a story character already in mind, I got to work on the fringe and then noticing how it looked like a fairly well known Disney Princess (Need I say more?) instead of my intended character, I guess you could say my pencil slipped with wanting to experiment with the similarities further...

Well darn...

Nevertheless, I quickly got over my disappointment in letting my pencil slip so much that it -in the end- looked nothing like my own character and decided to 'Sharpie-fy' the drawing. (So that I could trace and colour it in GIMP.)

Tracing...

Traced... Wait-a-minute, is that even a word?

So far, so good... Until I tried to add some colour to it, that is.

After a few many failed attempts of getting Elsa's complexion just right (I kept getting the colours too red/pink, too dark, too pale... etc) I pretty much gave up, knowing I hadn't even touched the shadowing part and that would be waaaaaaay too much stuff to do.

But I did it anyway and was left with 24 layers of lines, colours, shadowing and random other stuff I did that I can't remember... 24 LAYERS! Yeah, it was a bit overkill. (For me anyway.)

But then I had a lovely idea... Why not make it into a silhouette? So much more easier to do -not to mention I might have a bit more fun since I haven't tried that for a long, long, time.

So having made up my mind to go with that idea instead, and with a lovely playlist of violin music blasting through my headphones (Specifically Lindsey Stirling's violin music) I got to work...

First, I made yet another tracing of Elsa's head and hair shape... Although a bit more carelessly, this time.

Then I had to fill it in with the same colour...

Next, I added a darker blue background... Smudging together different types of blue shades so it didn't have a solid colour look to it.

Deciding that the solid coloured blob known as Elsa's silhouetted head was a bit boring by itself, I chosen a random texture brush that looked a bit like ice and went crazy.

And then for the final touch, I found a fancy font off the internet and wrote the words "Let it Go" in her head for no reason other than it would look nice.

To be honest... It turned out much better than I thought it would. So that's nice...

Well... I must admit that at first I wasn't going to do this but there was a threat I couldn't ignore. Yes, I'm looking directly at you Jane! Threats aside, I suppose I should thank you for tagging me so... Thanks, I guess :)

Fun Fact Number The First:

My train of thought is really, really weird at times... Especially late at night.

For instance, a couple of nights ago, while I was trying to sleep, I noticed that there was a light shining from underneath my closed door... My very first thought was this:

Huh. Seems door's design is malfunctioning... Better later fix.* 

It took me a minute later to realize that my door's design was in fact completely fine and that the light shining under it was just the hallway light that had been left on... I thought that was a bit funny afterwards.

(*: And yes... That was how I meant to write it)

Fun Fact Number The Second:

2.A) I can never draw the left eye as well as the right one... EVER.

2.B) My artwork seems to have improved a bit since I was around 10-ish years old. So that's always a nice thing...

It seems that so far, adding colour is a major improvement!


Fun Fact Number The Third: 

I own eleven white feathered/orange beaked Alsebury x Pekin Ducks and three multi-coloured Purebred (I hope) Call Ducks! The names of the ones I can remember (or actually have a name, if you prefer) are Albert, Abigail, Nosey, Limpy, Nibbles, Buddy, Princess, Babycino, Espresso and little duckling Chai... They are all very cute.

I also have four two budgies.. One named Crumpets and the other is named Frodo Baggins! I used to have another budgie named Samwise Gamgee but he flew back home (No, I don't think Frodo told him to). The other two budgies are sadly not mine even though I feed them and make sure they don't die... Moving on!


Fun Fact Number The Fourth:

I can play the clarinet which is quite fun.. Well, when it doesn't squeak anyway. I'm also learning the violin which is pretty cool.

The Broken Bow

The Broken Bow

Now I should have been more careful- I know, I know.
One lesson and two practices; that’s all it had taken.
There was no warning at all, not even a slight crack,
It happened so suddenly I was taken aback!

So shocked was I;
To see it was now completely snapped,
I noted sadly to pay closer attention next go,
For I had just gone and broken my brand new bow.

T’was a good thing I had kept my old, warped bow.
Putting aside my shock and surprise,
I feigned indifference and shrugged it away.
Nothing I could do about it, at least I would still be able to play.

But forever I will regret the day I snapped my new violin bow.

On to the questions then...

1. A book that kept you up all night.

Well, I'm pretty sure it wasn't ALL night, but when I was reading the Winnie the Horse Gentler  series (by Dandi Daley Mackall) I think I did come pretty close...

2. A book that made you scared to sleep.

Definitely would have to be 100 Cupboards (by N. D. Wilson)... I made the mistake of stopping at the part when that old guy comes out from a room that was supposed to be magically locked with absolutely no way inside! I was kinda freaked out to put it mildly.

3. A book that made you go to sleep.

Hmm, it would have to be The Magic Faraway Tree (By Enid Blyton)... My dear little sisters simply LOVED to play the audio book at night and would often fall asleep before the the disc had finished, and so I was pretty much stuck with listening to it since I couldn't be bothered to turn it off myself.. It was very boring.

4. A book that left you tossing and turning all night in anticipation of its release.

Definitely would've to have been both book eleven and twelve of the The Ranger's Apprentice series (The Lost Stories and The Royal Ranger). I also remember getting super excited for the next Winnie the Horse Gentler book in the series to arrive via the mail (It wasn't exactly released then so I'm not sure if that counts.)

5. A book that has your favourite boy/girl relationship.

 I'm not usually one for books with  romance in them (some are okay though) but out of the few that I have read, my favourite relationship would have to be... Prince Aethelbald and Princess Una from Heartless (by Anne Elisabeth Stengl). The relationship between  Posy and Prince Kyran from The Word Changers (by Ashlee Willis) would probably have to be my second favourite. 

6. A book that would be your worst nightmare to live in.

Well, for me it couldn't really be Divergent (Because everything was "mostly" alright at the beginning) but the next book Insurgent however... If I ever got to choose between going there or staying here via magical portal I think I would just stay here thank-you very much!

7. A book that reminds you of night-time.

For some reason the first book that came to mind was The Hobbit (By J.R.R Tolkien) not exactly sure why...

8. A book that had a nightmare-ish cliffhanger.

The only book I can think of with a cliffhanger that really bugged me (though I wouldn't say it was night-mare-ish) would be The Ranger's Apprentice The Burning Bridge... Poor Will and Halt :(

9. A book you actually dreamed about.

Hmm, I remember being in Dauntless from the book Divergent (by Veronica Roth) which was pretty cool until I died so... Yup. I was also a Ranger once from Ranger's Apprentice (by John Flanagan) which was much cooler ( probably because I didn't die)... Ah yes, that was my favourite dream about a book for a long while.

10. A book monster you wouldn't want to find under your bed. 

I definitely would not want to find the Balrog from the Lord of the Rings... No thanks, no way, nuh uh, nopetity nope nope...
