The Idea Process (A Comic)

So.... this might become a regular thing. Every few months or so I'll sneak up on you guys and surprise you by whacking a new comic over your head. Sound fun? :D

Anyway, that's it for me this year (I think)... Hope you all have a very merry Christmas! (And a happy new year too I suppose :P)

The Music Tag of....Musical-ness. Yay!

Hi :)

Okay, now that's over and done with, let's get on with the actual post!

Ze Rules
1. Thank the person who tagged you.
2. Answer the questions.
3. Tag others.
4. Add you own question to the tag for your nominees to answer.
5. Include the rules in your post.

Thanks Clare for tagging me!

Do you play any instruments?

Yup! I can play the clarinet, violin (still learning that one though, but it doesn't sound like cats dying anymore thankfully) and sort of piano... Meaning I can only play one song (both parts)... Yah.

(It's 'Ode To Joy' if you were curious.)

What is your favourite music genre?

Uhhhhm... To be honest, I don't really know? I think the music I listen to mostly has a jazzy/pop feel to it. I also like sound tracks and musicals...Especially stuff like 'Les Mis' and 'Phantom of the Opera'.

I can't really pin down an absolute favourite.

Is there a music genre you absolutely cannot stand?

Rap music. Okay- in some songs I don't mind it, but only because there's just a tiny amount and when it does come on, I just stop singing. No big deal, I know the best part of the song is just around the corner... I can wait.

What is your favourite way to listen to music? (CD, vinyl, MP3, radio, etc)

MP3. Definitely. CD's aren't too bad though I guess... until they get broken.

What/who are your three favourite bands/singers?

Oooh, tough one! All time favourite or just the ones that are my current favourites?
Also: Do they have to be in a band and/or a singer?

...In order to be able to answer this question I'll just guess 'no' to the last one.

No. 1 - Lindsey Stirling,

No. 2 - Mandisa,

And finally,

No. 3 - Britt Nicole.

Some honourable mentions are Pentatonix and Owl City :)

And now for Clare's question! :D

Do you have a funny story to do with playing music or band, if so please share it?

Mawhaha..Yes I do.

So this happened at a town band practice... We had stopped in the middle of a song (I can't remember which one, sadly) because no one was really paying attention to the dynamics of the song.

The band conductor asks if any one could hear the flutes and clarinets, since we had the melody.

And basically...

An elderly man grumbles behind me: I couldn't hear any of them!

Fellow clarinet player whips around in her seat: *jokingly* That's because you're deaf!

Elderly man leans forward slightly: What?

Fellow Clarinet player: Ha!

She then grins and elbows me in triumph.

I thought it was hilarious.

The End.

Oh wait, I still have to tag people? Erm... Okay. *Tries to think of people I can tag* ....Um, nope. No idea. Therefore, I shalt just leave it open for whoever stumbles across my blog and wants to give it a go. Yah, have fun :)

The Adventures of Pizza Ninja Supreme and Her Trusty Long-Suffering Sidekick! (An Introduction to the Character)

Huh... That's weird. Usually I like to wait till the last few days of the month before panicking and writing up a blog post.

But here I am. Early. Since when does that happen? O-o

..More importantly, how does that happen? o-O

Well, it all started when I randomly mentioned  how I wanted to create my own graphic novel/comic one day on a group chat with my ''Camp Nano'' buddies (we shall never disband! Mawhaha)...

One thing lead to another, and my friend Jane and I ended up with the super amazing concept of Pizza Ninja Supreme (*puffs* bit of a mouthful that is).

Then came the brainstorming, where we worked out what Pizza Ninja Supreme (from now on wards shall be referred to as Pizza Ninja, 'cause that last word is simply too much for everyday use :P) looked like, how she behaved, and whether she was more Pizza or more Ninja (very important).

Thankfully, figuring out what kinda power she would have was never really an issue, as it was pretty much the first thing decided. (Hint: it's kinda in the name...)

Jane's a superhero now! :D

Surprise! They have to do with Pizzas. Still not sure how it works exactly... But hey! Imagine having the ability to create gourmet pizza's out of thin air! Who cares about the science-y part, right? :D (Hm..  science/pizza, science/pizza... Sorry Science, but pizza wins every time.)

Of course, her personality would've been a little bit harder to pin down, but Jane nobly offered herself as template to be based off. From there it was a simple matter of figuring out much sense the character (and her world) had to make!

I do apologise for the lack of background... Krita was killing me with the great abundance of un-organised layers (totally my own fault though.) and I honestly was so ready to be done with it. I'll hopefully add one later on though :)
Also featuring, the Sidekick! Whoever she is *shrug* Need to work on that a bit more...
Basically, none at all...

"Oh wait"

All that's left to do is work out a plot, come up with a suitable Villain and hey, presto its-a ready! :D

September Art Dump. Yay!

Okay so. This is kinda like a letter to older-me to show what my artwork was like when I was sixteen...

Hopefully I won't come back to this post later in life and go 'Woah... okay... THIS SUCKS' but at the same time I kinda hope that I do 'cos that'd mean I actually get much better. If that makes any sense?

No? Okay, moving on to the art!

(P.S Hi, older-me! I hope you've been practising drawing the left eye! Or hands even!)

Based on this photo I took while in the car:

I love clouds....
Well... As you can see, I didn't get it the exact way I was hoping too, but oh well!

Sadly, I didn't have a photo reference for this one... Probably for the best seeing as it is called 'No-Where'.

Little Girl in a Poncho :D I found a cool looking poncho-reference sheet on Pinterest so this happened!

Just messing around with the colours and brushes in Krita... Turned out okey dokie :) (except for the eye.. I honestly have no idea where I was going with that.)

My first ever sketch of a male character (belonging to one of mah friends) that actually ended up looking pretty okay :D

I drew this one for my little sister (little little sister not my other older little sister) and basically it's her character from the same story as the previous drawing :D

Now lastly, -cough- but not -cough- ...I drew my character, Lillianna Maple from an online game called 'Guild Wars'.

Basically, it's a game that my brother got me into (it's all his fault) that has a steampunk-fantasy-medieval feel to it. (With a bunch of magic, if you couldn't tell from the picture... She's a Mesmer and the butterflies are kinda a trademark thing for the Mesmer class...)

Oh, and she's pretty much the only drawing I did this year that I actually had enough courage to colour in with pencils (-gasp-) and didn't fail completely... Yay!

So anyway, I did have a bunch of other drawings I did this month but most of them either failed spectacularly or I just didn't feel like waiting for all of them to load. ;P (plus, these ones were my personal favourites)

Well, that's all for now.... See ya next month!

It all started when I noticed my darling bunny Myrtle pulling out her fur.

Naturally, this quite an alarming sight for me and thus I quickly went to consult my all-knowing Mummy-dearest who simply replied:

"Look it up on the internet."

What profound advice. Thank-you all-knowing Mummy-dearest.

Every single article or forum post I found at least mentioned that my bunny could well be pregnant and making a nest, or possibly going through what they called a 'false pregnancy' where they just made little nests for no reason other than it must be comfy to sleep in.

I decided it must be the latter option since I was pretty darn sure both my bunny children were girls.

I hope you all know where I'm going with this.

Fast forwarding to today, Mum and I were out at a friend's place having lunch when mum's phone started ringing. Since she was chatting away happily (and because she asked me too) I answered the phone for her.

Conversation as follows:

Me: Huuuullo? (Yes I actually answer like that, don't judge me)

Little Sister #1: Sarah! You will not believe this, but I was outside when I realised I couldn't see the bunnies and so I checked inside the hutch and THERE-IS-SIX-BABIES-IN-THERE!

Me: Er, pardon?

Basically, My little sister was heaps excited and I was very confused. This went on for a long while, during which I was trying to rely information onto Mum who was just as shocked as I was.

I should probably mention that The One Major Rule for me getting my own bunnies was that they would both be the same gender. So that we could totally avoid situations like these.

'LOL, TOO BAD!' -Minty (The boy bunny, apparently)

Thankfully, Mum and Dad seemed more pleasantly surprised (or they were just in shock, I just wanted to look on the bright side) and were taking it slightly better then I was... Haha, that could have been awkward.

So we got home and I got to meet my little grand-kittens (Fun fact: Baby bunnies are called kittens! D'aww.) and scold their dear bunny parents...Who had clearly not read the terms and conditions of their rent.

Luckily for them, my attempt to scold them failed terribly because I could never stay cross with them, since they are just so darn cute all the time. (I suspect this must be a survival thing.)

Some Pictures For Your Daily Dose Of Cuteness*:

Such fluffy beds :)
Six wittle babies!
Looks like a baby piggy :D
Not so much of a baby piggy...
Two  little not-piglets

Or, in summary....

(*If you don't see these bunnies as cute, fear not, our projected figures show a 330% increase of cuteness later on in their adorable lives.)

The 'Of Rising Author's' Tag and A Random Snippety Bit

AHAHAHAHAHA.. Ha... Ha... *dead*

Yikes. I gotta admit I didn't think I'd get this out with Camp Nanowrimo demanding most of my free time, but here we are! Just in time to kick out this blog post before the month's up it seems...

Ze Rules...
Thank the random who tagged you.

Do the post.

Answer the questions.

Tag other randoms

Give 'em another 11 questions

Write a short story (hahaha no) or do the 777 challenge thing instead just to break the rules.

*Raises wine glass of apple juice and tips hat* Cheers Jane :P

Ze Questions...

Are you a planner/plotter or a pantser? (if you don't know what that means, google it)

Ooh, I've read about those somewhere! Err, I think I'm a bit of a plotter to be honest... It's nice to have a plan (even if I don't stick to it all the time)... otherwise I just get stuck and uninspired very easily.

Do you write from beginning to end or are you okay with jumping around to wherever you feel inspired to write?

Weeeeeeell, I used to be like 'NO, I MUST DO EVERYTHING IN ORDER' and I'd just keep everything in my head until I got to that part and managed to write it down, or I had completely forgotten about it.

But now, since Camp Nanowrimo, (yeah, I'm like a veteran now) I'm more like, 'Hahahaha, where'd this come from? (As I stare at a scene most likely from the middle of my story when I haven't even written the beginning) Oh well, I'll leave it in anyway.'

...I figure I can just use the magical line-breaks to separate random story parts from each other.

Do you like writing cliffhangers?

Um.. The thing is, I don't think I really have done enough cliffhangers (I've probably only ever written two and both were completely accidental) to actually be able to distinguish if I like them or not...

So... Maybe?

Are plot twists spontaneous for you, or do the require much deep thought?

Spontaneous.. Yup, definitely spontaneous.

For some weird reason, they always seem to happen when I'm in the car or five or ten seconds away from falling asleep... Basically anywhere I don't have a notebook handy.

Must the first draft be perfect and reread a thousand times, or do you just skim through it?

I wouldn't know... I've never completed a first draft. (Yet!)

How many words is a good writing day for you?

Well, two days ago I somehow managed about 1,037 words... But that was mostly because I was stressing about reaching my goal in time... So... I guess that doesn't really count.

Hmm, I'd say 400-500 words (of non-editing other parts of the story) would have to be what I consider to be a good day... Any higher than that would be a great day xD

When and where do new story ideas come upon you most frequently?

Most frequently? Pinterest, probably... Or I dunno, when I'm about to fall asleep. It depends :D

D'you prefer writing with epic soundtracks/music or without?

Definitely with soundtracks!

Is there a specific person who helps you brainstorm ideas?

Yesh :D Three specific persons actually... And no, I won't say who unless I am given chocolate :P

Do you have someone to tell all the spoilers to before they make you explode with excitement?

Yesh again :D (What? The question never asked me who exactly...)

What is your favourite part of the writing process?

Oooooh, tough one! Um.... Probably the planning? I dunno, story-boarding (on pinterest) is also really quite fun :D

A'right, a'right... Time for the part I've been dreading... Because I'm too lazy to write a short story I'm just going to break the rules and do the 777 thing-o (like Jane suggested) with my WIP 'Guardian Angel'.

Yeah... Hopefully we won't end up on something utterly stupid.

~A Random Snippety Bit Start~

'Yeah… Nice try kid, but I don't think so,' the big guy smirked. 'You aren't getting out of this one alive.'

Haha. He jinxed it. I felt a sudden surge of confidence rush through me out of nowhere, and I stepped forward into the dim lighting of the alleyway before I even had a chance to get a proper plan together.

'Hey, you lot!' Dammit. Too late to turn back now.

All three turned to face me, and it was obvious by the look on their faces, they had never expected a young teenage girl in hoodie to rock up to their little party, carrying a baseball bat over her shoulder.

I glared at them, doing my best to look at least somewhat frightening. 'Just what do you think you're doing?'
~A Random Snippety Bit Finish~

*Cringes* Well, there you have it folks. That's that done. (Sorry if the story snippet made no sense :P)

Hmm... *scrolls up to check rules* Well, I can't think of any other Author-people that haven't done this tag already so...Therefore I shall tag whoever stumbles across this post and wants to try it!

Your 11 questions, should you choose to accept this mission, are:

What type of music do you like to listen to while brainstorming ideas? (If you do listen to music while writing, that is.)

What's your favourite genre to write with?

How do you survive writer's block?

Do you set a specific time for writing? Or do you just write whenever you get inspired?

Do you sometimes watch movies and TV shows for the character and plot development research alone? (Books count too)

Tell me something interesting about your OCs? (Original Characters)

If you lost all ability to read and write for the day, what would you do?

Do you like story-boarding?

Who/what is your greatest writing influence?

Notebooks or Computer?

What's your favourite writing food/incentive?

Phew. That's done... Hope ye have fun :D

Well... It seems the time has come for me to bid ye all a fond farewell.

So... Bye!

Top Ten Villains Tag

Hmm… Top Ten Villains now? Whatever shall be next?

Eh, I won't complain :)

On to the post!

Thank you so very much Jane! Sadly I couldn't find anything to blow my school work up with so... Here it is at last :P

1. Post the picture
2. Thank the blogger who tagged you
3. List your top ten favourite villains and why you chose them (they can be from movies or books)
4. Tag ten other bloggers.

Note: I don't actually have any 'top ten favourite villains' so I think I'll just go with 'top ten most memorable' instead :)

The Phantom/Erik.

(Phantom of the Opera)

"Seal my fate tonight. I hate to have to cut the fun short, but the joke's wearing thin. Let the audience in. Let my opera BEGIN!" -The Phantom

The Phantom/Angel of Music/Erik or whatever you would like to call this guy, lives beneath Paris teaching girls how to sing (without meeting them face to face) and then stalking them for the rest of the movie, killing whomever gets in his way... But hey! He sings nice, right?

Loki Of Asgard

'Is not this simpler? Is this not your natural state? It's the unspoken truth of humanity, that you crave subjugation. The bright lure of freedom diminishes your life's joy in a mad scramble for power, for identity. You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel.' -Loki

He wasn't always a villain... and to be honest many people still think he isn't one. As for me, I'm pretty neutral on the topic. I do think he was a bit misunderstood in some parts but nevertheless, he was the main bad guy in the Avengers movie and he did almost completely destroy New York with his Chitauri alien army just because he wanted to rule Earth. So... Yeah, he's a villain alright.

..And for that reason, he gets a magical ticket to get on the list.

"Jim from IT"

(BBC Sherlock)

"I can open any door anywhere with a few tiny lines of computer code. No such thing as a private bank account now. They're all mine. No such thing as secrecy. I OWN secrecy. Nuclear codes? I could blow up NATO in alphabetical order. In a world of locked rooms, the man with the key is king." - Jim Moriarty

Do TV shows count? Ah well, I'll assume so. A villain is a villain, no matter where they are from!

Okay, so I'm pretty sure the quote just underneath the picture alone can explain why I have Moriarty on my list so I'll just leave it at that. (Without spoilers either... Yay!)

Smaug The Terrible

(If you don't know who that is and what book he is from... I'm so sorry.)
(Hint: The main character is a Hobbit

Smaug is probably the scariest dragon I have ever seen and/or have read about... Giant, scary, mean... How could I NOT have him on the list? (Plus, he is pretty darn awesome.)

Moving on.

The Spidells

(See Picture)

The minute Grant disappeared into the building, Summer snapped her fingers and  turned to me. "Oh no!" She tilted her head to the side and stuck out pouty lips. "I forgot. My mother laid down the law. I can't invite more than nine girls. And I've already invited... Let me see here..." She counted on her fingers. "...nine. Sorry, Winifred. By the way, I was so relieved when I heard you'd be training Grant's horse. I hate to lose."  - Summer Spidell, (Eager Star)]

...Or more specifically, Summer Spidell... I had to put down the book multiple times just because of her. She was basically the most horrible, unpleasant, popular bratty kid I have ever had the misfortune to read about... Thank heavens Winnie thought so too.

(Princess Bride)

"You're trying to kidnap what I've rightfully stolen." - Vizzini

He's just so funny and awesome! 'Tis a shame he (spoiler!) died...

Additional Quote: "Inconcievable!!" (Because how could I not add that one!)

Darth Vader

(Star Wars)

"Impressive. Most impressive. Obi-Wan has taught you well. You have controlled your fear. Now, release your anger. Only your hatred can destroy me. " - Darth Vader

This guy is a meanie. He blew up his daughter's home planet right in front of her, and then later on he cut of his son's own hand with his lightsaber... Oh, and how could I forget about him freezing Han Solo in carbonite, also in front of his daughter and Han Solo's best buddy?

Yah, he's a meanie alright.

(Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief through to The Last Olympian)

“Kronos would be 10 times more powerful. His very presence would incinerate you. And once he achieves this he will empower the other Titans. They are weak, compared to what they soon will become, unless you can stop them, the world will fall, the gods will die, and I will never achieve a perfect score on this stupid machine.” - Dionysus talking about Kronos, while playing Pac-Man

Big ol' Greek Titan of Time who ate practically all his children because he was concerned that they may get more powerful than him... I'm thinking he was also a bit peckish.

(From, well... Megamind)

"Here's my day so far: went to jail, lost the girl of  my dreams, and got my butt kicked pretty good.
Still things could be worse. Oh, that's right. I'm falling to my death." - Megamind

Possibly the greatest underrated villain there is... Seriously, why isn't this movie appreciated enough?! He has a great backstory that makes you feel really sorry for him -while also making you laugh, because the way he retells it is just so darn funny...

To be honest, I could just fill up the the whole page with hilarious quotes from the movie and forget about villain number ten altogether but I'm afraid we must now move on...

Lord Morgarath

(Ranger's Apprentice)

'Now, he thought, it was the time for his revenge. His spies told him the Kingdom had grown slack and complacent and his presence here was all but forgotten. The name Morgarath was a name of legend nowadays, a name mothers used to to hush fractious children, threatening that if they did not behave, the black lord Morgarath would come for them.' - Morgarath's evil musings to himself.

Tall, dark robes, white hair and very very pale creepy guy with an even creepier horse? Yeah, he definitely qualifies for this list (and his horse too *shudders*). He was a great villain in the sense that I didn't like him very much.

It wasn't really a "Oh wow, this villain sucks" not-like-him but more of a "Oh wow, this guy is really creepy" ...Meaning that if I was a character in the book, I probably would have just quit and headed over to Nope-Ville.

(Probably didn't help that I was much younger when I actually started reading the series... If I was magically teleported to Aruluen today, I would probably just be all "Oh sweet, I totally got this!"-providing I had my friends with me of course.. If not, I would probably be waaaay more confused.)

Well, well, well... we have at last reached the end of this villainous list at last! Once again, I do apologise for it taking so darn long. The villains themselves were being quite difficult and wouldn't give me any ideas why I had actually chosen them... Nasty villainses they are..

Anyway, that's all (for now) folks!

P.S: Oops! Before I forget, I should probably mention that I am nominating CJR at CJR Odyssy (You don't have to do it, I just like to nominate you for everything :P) and Zach at Zach's Abode ... Have fun!

Until next post :)

How to do the 'Art' (A Comic)

Well... I completely stuffed up the "one post each month" thing for April so I do apologise... (*cough* But to be fair I could not find anything, for the life of me, to post about.  *cough*)

So... uh, anyway... Hope you enjoyed this comic!

The Liebster Award

I seem to be the master of procrastination as of late... Waiting until the evening on last day of March to actually write this post and all that. (I spent lunch time and upwards making the picture so I was technically working on it... Sorta.)

Anyway, on to the actual post!

Thank you Jane for nominating me (or is it 'tagging'? Or is it just 'award/ed/ing'? Oh well.) and for letting me come on your magical floating island!

Whoops... Try to not think 'Frozen' when you look at this picture... Also, is it just me or does that font make it look like 'lobster' instead of 'liebster'?

The Rules:

~ Link back to the person who tagged you.

~ Answer 11 questions.
~ Try To Tag 11 bloggers.

~ Ask them 11 questions.

~ Let them know you've tagged them.

~ Have Fun.

The Questions:

~ What's the last song you listened to?

Hmm... I think it was 'Don't Want to Live for Me' by Moriah Peters.

It's really cool.

~ What are some of your favourite book covers?

To be honest, I don't think I really have a favourite...

I do really like this one though:

Not My Picture... Obviously
Such a beautiful mixture of colours! And the lighting! *dies of happiness*

Okay... so maybe it is my favourite after all.

~ What's the weirdest book you've ever read?

Er... For some reason 100 Cupboards keeps coming to mind... I guess having 100 magical cupboards that teleport you to different realms in one's bedroom is kind of weird.

~ What's a job you dreamed of having as a kid?

Hmm... How early are we talking? The earliest I can remember actually going: 'Oh wow, I wanna be one of those.' was when I was around the age 6 to... I dunno, 8 maybe...? I was watching a Barney movie (Shush) where they were writing stories for... something or other. And they just started talking about what writers did and how they were called 'authors' and so forth.

I thought it was such an awesome sounding job that a few days later I declared to my family that I wanted to be an "Arthur" too and started writing my own little stories... None of which I will post on here because...  Ergh. *shudders*

Thanks Barney!

(And no.... that wasn't a spelling mistake. I actually did think an 'Author' and 'Arthur' was the exact same thing.)

~ Do you like pizza?

What is this "like" stuff?

I LOVE pizza!

~ Are you any good in the kitchen?

I sure like to think so.

Probably good enough to be able to survive off the pantry by myself for a few days... providing I'm not stranded in the bush or on a deserted island. (Floating ones don't count... I'm sure there would be lots of magical fruit that wouldn't need cooking.)

~ In a group of people are you more likely to be silent, talking or cracking jokes?

I really don't know...? I think I'm a mixture of all of them... Depending on who I'm with of course.

~ If any fictional character could be your best friend, who would it be?

Ooooooh.... Tricky. So, so, so, so, many to choose from!

I think I'll go with Jenny from Ranger's Apprentice. She's pretty cool.

~What's an interesting/random quirk you have?

Well, whenever I'm on the computer I somehow always find myself chewing on my headphones cable... Or chewing on my lip if said cable is not in reach.

~ Generally speaking do you use a bookmark or random piece of paper?

Pretty much whatever is around me be it a (unused!) tissue, a scrap of paper, a closed pen, an actual bookmark, another smaller book, a slice of pizza... wait.

~ Do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks? Why?

Paperback! Always and forever paperback... Must be the smell of the paper or something, plus its nice to flick through. For some reason, I've always found the sound of paper against paper oddly satisfying as I turn the page.

~The End of Questions.~

Hmm... I think I'll tag... I KNOW!

Corey @ CJR Odyssey and Zach @ Zach's Abode

But since neither of you gentlemen have done the other stuff I tagged/nominated ye for, I think I'll leave it open for anyone who wishes to do it (be it once more or for the first time).

I'll also tag Alice @ Hope In Our Savour ... You don't have to do it if ye do not wish to :)

Here Be Your Questions:

  1. Do you know where these Awards/Tags things ever originated? If not, do you have a theory?
  2. If your town flooded over and you could dive through the sunken buildings, what would you try to retrieve?
  3.  What is your favourite home cooked meal?
  4.  Cats or Dogs? Or neither?
  5.  What did you have for lunch yesterday?
  6. What's the best bit of advice you've ever received?
  7. Top five favourite books?
  8. What's your earliest memory?
  9. What time do you wake up in the morning?
  10. If by some strange magical reason there was only to be one season each year, which would you like it to be?
  11.  Do you think The Liebster Award could be easily mistaken for The Lobster Award?

For the first time in forever.... A BLOG POST!

So I've been working on this thing-a-ma-bob for a while now, couple of weeks.. Maybe a month? Gosh,  I dunno any more.

Anyway, after finding a really cool head (drawing) tutorial on Pinterest, I decided to give it a go for myself...

Everything was going really well and I started to  try and decide which story character of mine to use as a reference for hair and facial expressions...
See? So far so good...

And then, with a story character already in mind, I got to work on the fringe and then noticing how it looked like a fairly well known Disney Princess (Need I say more?) instead of my intended character, I guess you could say my pencil slipped with wanting to experiment with the similarities further...

Well darn...

Nevertheless, I quickly got over my disappointment in letting my pencil slip so much that it -in the end- looked nothing like my own character and decided to 'Sharpie-fy' the drawing. (So that I could trace and colour it in GIMP.)

Traced... Wait-a-minute, is that even a word?

So far, so good... Until I tried to add some colour to it, that is.

After a few many failed attempts of getting Elsa's complexion just right (I kept getting the colours too red/pink, too dark, too pale... etc) I pretty much gave up, knowing I hadn't even touched the shadowing part and that would be waaaaaaay too much stuff to do.

But I did it anyway and was left with 24 layers of lines, colours, shadowing and random other stuff I did that I can't remember... 24 LAYERS! Yeah, it was a bit overkill. (For me anyway.)

But then I had a lovely idea... Why not make it into a silhouette? So much more easier to do -not to mention I might have a bit more fun since I haven't tried that for a long, long, time.

So having made up my mind to go with that idea instead, and with a lovely playlist of violin music blasting through my headphones (Specifically Lindsey Stirling's violin music) I got to work...

First, I made yet another tracing of Elsa's head and hair shape... Although a bit more carelessly, this time.

Then I had to fill it in with the same colour...

Next, I added a darker blue background... Smudging together different types of blue shades so it didn't have a solid colour look to it.

Deciding that the solid coloured blob known as Elsa's silhouetted head was a bit boring by itself, I chosen a random texture brush that looked a bit like ice and went crazy.
And then for the final touch, I found a fancy font off the internet and wrote the words "Let it Go" in her head for no reason other than it would look nice.

To be honest... It turned out much better than I thought it would. So that's nice...

The Lovely Blog Tag... Tag.

Well... I must admit that at first I wasn't going to do this but there was a threat I couldn't ignore. Yes, I'm looking directly at you Jane! Threats aside, I suppose I should thank you for tagging me so... Thanks, I guess :)

Yeah... I was a bit bored earlier so I thought I may as well make one myself.

The Rules:

1. Write seven fun facts about yourself.

2.Tag fifteen other lovely blogs.

Fif-wait... Fifteen!? Ahahahahahahaha... Nope. Sorry, I'm pretty sure that I don't know/read that many blogs!

On to the facts!

Fun Fact Number The First:

My train of thought is really, really weird at times... Especially late at night.

For instance, a couple of nights ago, while I was trying to sleep, I noticed that there was a light shining from underneath my closed door... My very first thought was this:

Huh. Seems door's design is malfunctioning... Better later fix.*

It took me a minute later to realize that my door's design was in fact completely fine and that the light shining under it was just the hallway light that had been left on... I thought that was a bit funny afterwards.

(*: And yes... That was how I meant to write it)

Fun Fact Number The Second:

2.A) I can never draw the left eye as well as the right one... EVER.

2.B) My artwork seems to have improved a bit since I was around 10-ish years old. So that's always a nice thing...

From this....
To this... Yay!
It seems that so far, adding colour is a major improvement!

Fun Fact Number The Third:

I own eleven white feathered/orange beaked Alsebury x Pekin Ducks and three multi-coloured Purebred (I hope) Call Ducks! The names of the ones I can remember (or actually have a name, if you prefer) are Albert, Abigail, Nosey, Limpy, Nibbles, Buddy, Princess, Babycino, Espresso and little duckling Chai... They are all very cute.

I also have four two budgies.. One named Crumpets and the other is named Frodo Baggins! I used to have another budgie named Samwise Gamgee but he flew back home (No, I don't think Frodo told him to). The other two budgies are sadly not mine even though I feed them and make sure they don't die... Moving on!

Fun Fact Number The Fourth:

I can play the clarinet which is quite fun.. Well, when it doesn't squeak anyway. I'm also learning the violin which is pretty cool.

Fun Fact Number The Fifth:

*Pant* Almost there... *Pant*

I am a Divergent Time Lord Hobbit and Agent of SHIELD of the Rebellion... Or if you prefer, I'm a crazy geek for a lot of things, including, but not limited to: (In no particular order after Doctor Who)

Doctor Who,

Star Wars,

The Ranger's Apprentice and Brotherband,

Agents of SHIELD,

Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit,

The Princess Bride,

The Chronicles of Narnia,

Pirates Of The Caribbean...

annnnnnnd.... Well, I did say "not limited to", right?

Fun Fact Number The Sixth:

If given the chance, I would happily wear medieval or pirate styled clothes for the rest of my life. Even if it's a dress... *Gasp*

Fun Fact Number The Seventh:

Okay last one! Uhm...

I am not looking forward to learning how to drive, however useful it may become!

Done... Yay! Alright so... Tagging time...

My brother Zach at Zach's Abode (Because your blog looks lovely :D ) and CJR at CJR Odyssey (Because you seriously need to do another post and because your blog is also lovely)

Well... It's not fifteen but it's two more closer then zero!

See ya next post! (In however many months that will be...)
